Open Row with Rio Rowing

OPEN ROW SCHEDULE

EFFECTIVE December 9, 2011

We are extremely pleased and excited to announce our new Fall season open row schedule! We have added new open row times so qualified Rio members and guests can row every day of the week! If you are Open Row-certified and wish to row during a session, please email the facilitator 48 hours in advance; just click on their name below. If you fail send an email, we cannot guarantee that a facilitator will be present. As always, club boats cannot be taken out without the assigned facilitator present.

• Please note that to take advantage of Open Row privileges, you must be Open Row certified (includes having RSRC float test and US Rowing waiver on file) as well as be a current member of Rio Salado Rowing Club.
• Please make no changes in the rigging of the boats. These are club boats and need to accommodate all members who use them. Leave the shoes, span, and pitch as they are. Thanks!
  
• If weather is bad or cold, a four oar rule will be used--hence, no singles or pairs will go out.
• If your boat flips, stay with the boat.
• When parking for classes or open row, park under the 202. Do not park over on the Marquee Theater side of the lot or your car may be towed.

Tempe Town Lake Traffic

• distances:  West Dam to East Dam = approx. 2500 mtrs.
  Mill Ave. Bridge to Rural Bridge = approx. 1300 mtrs.
• faster rowers along the shoreline; slower rowers toward the center of the lake
• no gas motors (except no-wake safety launches) are allowed -- only sailboats, outriggers, canoes, kayaks, dragon boats, stand-up paddleboards and small boats with electric motors permitted.
