THE BENEFITS OF RSRC MEMBERSHIP INCLUDE:

Use of Club Equipment: The club has a fleet of 16 boats - from singles to eights. We have good quality boats for all levels of rowing - beginner through competitive. This enables people to row quality equipment that coincides with each individual's abilities and experience.

Open Row Opportunity: Rio Salado Rowing Club is the only organization on Tempe Town Lake which allows members to use equipment and row without the direct supervision of a coach. One does not have to be in a class to row.

Coaching: Members can receive coaching through numerous classes and programs or through individual sessions. Coaches also coordinate crews for racing at regattas locally and across the nation.

Regattas: The club does not pay for travel to and from regattas, but it does provide boat transportation for club members at very reasonable costs. We travel to regattas as often as possible, providing plenty of opportunities to compete and gain race experience.

Social: Traveling to races provides a great excuse to get away and have some fun with teammates. Locally, team members and classes often meet together outside of training. The club also has special social and fundraising events, including the annual dinner.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERSHIP

Leadership is provided by volunteers. Membership in RSRC also comes with responsibilities, most of which revolve around maintaining our expensive equipment, helping to raise funds, and volunteering for special events. By contributing on these fronts, each member ensures that we all get the most out of our membership dollars.
