Guest Rowers

Rio Rowing welcomes fellow rowers from other clubs to enjoy year-round rowing at our beautiful Tempe Town Lake venue. If you're in town, here's how to connect with us and row:

Step 1: Register for a weekly or monthly membership & submit a waiver on our Guest Member Registration page.

Step 2: Submit a completed float test form and letter about your rowing experience from your home club, Here's our float test form and a sample letter if you need them. You can scan and email these documents to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or just bring them with you and give them to the Open Row facilitator when you come to row.

Step 3: Go to our website's Open Row page and select a day & time that works for your schedule. Then, email the facilitator 48 hours in advance to let them know that you'd like to row.

Step 4: C'mon down to the lake and see why we say "Rowing in the Desert is HOT!" Here's a link to directions to the boatyard. FYI -- we launch off a sand beach (no dock), so wear water shoes or sandals. Our beach is shown in green on the map below.
