Register now for the new Advanced Sculling classes. These classes are geared to scullers with 6 months or more sculling experience to meet a range of goals from improving technique to national-level competition. Classes will revolve around a scientifically-based athlete analysis interwoven with expert technical coaching both on and off water. Participants will row in singles, doubles, and quads using elite rowing shells from RSRC and TJC. The class will provide individualized training programs throughout the spring season. Participation at regattas is not mandatory.
Prereqs: heart rate monitor, 6+ months of sculling experience or pre-approval from head coach (Dan Duxbury), float test if not previously passed, adequate health for intense cardiovascular exercise and strength training.
Instructors: TJC Head Coach Dan Duxbury assisted by Dr. Ryan Krch 1
Features: core strengthening, video on-water sessions with follow up technique analysis, nutritional counseling with Dr Krch, lactic acid testing with Coach Duxbury to find your underutilized levels of aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, and technical development of the sculling stroke.
